Anyone else dealing with yellow tint issues on iPhone 16 Pro Max?

Hi everyone! My iPhone 16 Pro Max screen is showing a weird yellow tint that’s especially noticeable in dark rooms. It even shifts between yellow and white, almost like it’s pulsing. I’ve tried contacting Apple support and running diagnostics, but there’s no clear cause. Since there’s no Apple Store in my country, I’m stuck. Has anyone else seen this, or figured out a fix?

Night Shift, True Tone, AOD, and auto-brightness are all off.

In that case, I’d recommend doing a backup and a factory reset. If it’s still an issue after that, it’s probably hardware-related.

It might still be Night Shift or True Tone causing it.

Nope, they’re both off, along with AOD and auto-brightness.

In that case, it sounds like a screen issue. If you can, visit an Apple Store or certified repair shop to have it checked.

I’m heading to Singapore next month. Hopefully, it’s covered under the warranty. I’ve never dropped the phone or anything—it just started acting up.

If it’s not your fault, it should be covered. My XS Max had a similar issue after an update, but I couldn’t get to a store. Hopefully, they sort it out for you!

That’s frustrating. Mine started after the iOS 18.1.1 update. Apple Support can’t tell if it’s hardware or software related.

It sounds like a software issue messing with the screen, but sometimes it damages the hardware too. My old phone’s screen started flashing green after an update. If you can show Apple there’s no physical damage, they should fix it for free. Fingers crossed for you!
