Why does the tree cover the clock on my lock screen? I didn’t change anything…

I just noticed that my lock screen clock is hidden behind a tree in my wallpaper. I didn’t touch any settings. How do I fix this?

Maybe try cropping the tree so it doesn’t overlap?

They said they didn’t change anything, though!

Exactly, which is why it might need adjusting anyway.

This is how it works in newer iOS updates.

But other wallpapers don’t do this?

It depends on the picture. The system decides if it should blend the clock based on the image’s composition. Some default wallpapers behave like this too.

When setting the wallpaper, you can pinch to zoom in or out. That way, you can control where the clock appears.

I love that wallpaper! Where did you get it?

It might be a photo they took themselves.

I think I found it on this forum in a photography section.

Just press and hold on your lock screen. Tap customize, select the lock screen, hit the 3 dots, and turn off the ‘Depth Effect’ option.

No need to sigh… not everyone knows this stuff.

@Leith
This feature was highlighted in a big iOS update, though. It’s pretty well known.

Edit: Downvotes? It’s true this was part of their customization features.

So what? Not everyone follows every update. No question is dumb.

This isn’t a tutorial site. If they don’t know, they could just search it up.

Google’s quicker, though. Just saying.
