I’m a customer with AT&T. For ten bucks a day, I can use my phone unlimited in most countries. I only pay for the days I actually use it.

Yeah, that $10 a day plan is nice, but you can find travel SIM plans for about $17 for 30 days. Less convenient but saves money.

About the downside: You don’t need to unlock a SIM to get a 2FA code. You can receive codes over Wi-Fi.

On iPhones, you can do WiFi calling with a data-only SIM even without a WiFi connection. It says WiFi Calling Over Cellular, but my battery still drains.

Interesting! I didn’t think you could use WiFi calling with a locked SIM. I’ll have to try it out.
