Looks like it’s not coming back. People keep hoping, but it just isn’t happening. So disappointing.

I really thought they’d bring it back, too…

Yeah… Apple had so many chances to bring it back. Sadly, it’s not going to happen.
@Marlow
Honestly, I’m lucky I already saved the black one on my 15 Pro Max. Apple removed it, but if you saved it before, you still have it. It’s only an issue for those who didn’t keep it. Plus, iOS saves wallpapers you’ve used before, so as long as you didn’t delete it, you can still access it.

You can still download it from the internet. Just search for it. It’s not that hard.
@Reeve
Yeah, but it doesn’t have the dynamic/depth effect like the original.

If the depth effect was such a big deal, why didn’t you save the wallpaper when it was available? Why make a big deal about it now that it’s gone from iOS 18?
@Reeve
I did save it, but it’s frustrating that others didn’t get the chance to. It feels like they messed up with this update.

I get it, but it was available for a whole year. People had plenty of time to grab it if it was so important to them.
Honestly, Apple really needs to improve their wallpaper selection. They should make wallpapers from older iOS versions available again. Removing them just feels like users are getting punished for updating their phones.
That new wallpaper they added for iOS 18 doesn’t work right. It’s supposed to change colors throughout the day, but it hasn’t worked in months. Apple keeps removing old wallpapers, and they can’t even get the new one right.
It’s odd that the iPhone 14 still has its exclusive wallpapers, but it looks like only the iPhone 15 series is missing them. I think this is a bug, but part of me wonders if it’s intentional.
Anyone using iOS 18.3 yet? How’s it?

I haven’t used it much, but here’s a video review if you want to check it out: 18.3 Review Video
This was the first thing I checked too
In the Settings app, I still have the iPhone 15 Pro default wallpaper saved from iOS 17, but I can’t change its color. It only shows the white version because my iPhone is white.

At least you still have it, though
Oh wow, I didn’t realize it’s gone. Anyone know why they removed it?
This might be a silly question, but what exactly was the default wallpaper? Can someone share a link or image?
