TLDR: I’m considering replacing my current iPhone SE (about 3.5 years old) with a newer model, but I’m not looking to spend a ton of money (less than $250). I don’t need the latest model or the fanciest camera. I don’t even use Siri or AirPods (I like wired EarPods) as I’m pretty minimalist. I basically just use my cell phone for unlimited talk, text, and data. I also use it for email, navigation, work, shopping, group chats, finances, etc. If you’ve any suggestions where I can get a new or used phone that fits these parameters, I’d appreciate it. I’m currently with AT&T but am open to switching carriers.
The new SE should be coming out soon, I think? If so, and if that’s too much, the older one will be discounted.
Used or new iPhone 13 mini, or iPhone SE.
Buy any iPhone that is available for that price.
iPhone 13 can be had for $200 + service on Straight Talk (and unlocks in 60 days). That’s probably the best deal right now.

Interesting…that was released the same year my iPhone SE was…is it true there’s a new SE version that will be released this year?
@Addison
SE4 should be.
The 13 is the same processor and RAM as your SE3, but with a better camera, more storage, and better screen.

Good to know…I like the small, pocket feel of the SE3…I get by with 64GB storage, but I’m not opposed to going bigger. Do they still make 128GB, or did they scrap that and go straight to 256GB? Camera quality doesn’t make much difference to me.
@Addison
128 is base across all the phones, except the Pro Max.
Not really ‘newer,’ but the 13 on eBay refurbished is less than $300 unlocked. It uses the same chip as the SE but has a better camera/display. I bought one for my mom last year, and she hasn’t run into any issues.
@Finley
Yeah, I’m thinking I might just wait for the SE 4 to roll out…my SE 3 is trudging along okay…the charging/connection port can be iffy sometimes.
