Just bought the new iPhone 16 Pro!

The battery will be ‘normal’ after about 2 weeks… When you transfer everything, things will be updating/downloading in the background. My 16 Pro gives me around 7-8 hours of screen time a day, which is plenty.

@Zora
Since when does your phone give you 8 hours of use?

It just depends on how you use it, bro.

I get 8+ hours, and I play games a lot. Diablo Immortal, Mario Tour. The most I had in one day was 11 hours with 80% of the battery used. Super impressed with the battery life (but it does need some tweaks, like turning off background tasks, AI, etc.).

@Finnian
Did your battery give you that amount of use right after you bought the phone?

Yeah, except for the first couple of days. I’ve had the phone for about a month now.

@Finnian
So your battery was fine after 2-3 days?

For me, yes, it was fine. But it can vary. Also, I noticed my first charge was around 80%. Was yours 50%?

@Finnian
Do you have the 16 Pro or the 16 Pro Max? I don’t play games, and I can barely get 4.5 hours of screen-on time.

16 Pro, not the Max. This is the 16 Pro sub :grin:

I don’t know what you mean, but for reference: I’ve had my 16 Pro for 15 days, and today I got 7 hours of screen-on time with 17% battery left. It took about two weeks for my battery to get to this level, and it’s been improving every day since I got it.

@Harley
Can you show me your battery progress in private?

Battery life is solid. It’s not the best on the market, but it’s not advertised to be. Compared to the Max, you’re sacrificing battery life. Android has several models with better battery life than the Max. But the 16 Pro is a high-performance powerhouse that fits in your pocket with a solid 6.3-inch display. It’s a great buy. That’s why I have the same phone :laughing:

@Madden
Only 5 hours of screen-on time.

@Madden
Not long ago, I had to return my iPhone 16 Pro because the battery wasn’t lasting long enough, and they exchanged it for a new one.

How long did you have the phone?

@Shay
I had it for two weeks and factory reset it once.

Two weeks only? That means it hasn’t been set up 100%, AND you reset it. Have some patience.
