The photos on my iPhone 16 Pro don’t look how I expect. They seem darker and overly processed. Anyone have tips to make them look more natural?
The iPhone camera takes multiple shots at different exposures to balance light and dark areas, but it also adds contrast to prevent the image from looking flat. It might be overcompensating here, making the photo darker. You can adjust exposure manually by tapping the 0.0 icon on the top left of the viewfinder. Slide it to +1.0 or whatever looks best. Or try downloading a camera app from the App Store that does minimal processing.
@Nico
I really appreciate it! Thanks so much I’ll check out some apps to see if that helps!
Have you tried turning off HDR? It might make a difference.

Good idea! I’ll give that a shot. Thank you!
If you want to avoid the auto-editing, use burst mode. Drag the capture button to the left while taking the picture, and it might work better for you.

That’s awesome advice! Thanks so much
Have you tried the photographic styles? They might help you tweak the look.

Thanks! I’ve tested the styles, but they seem to drift from the natural look I want. I’ll give it another try, though!
@Dara
You could try turning off HDR and enabling RAW mode. That might give you more control.
