Been stuck with handmedowns forever and finally got a 16 Pro as my first new in box phone, and I’m so happy with it after I had to replace my old 8 Plus that died. Reply in the comments about how much you like your 16 Pros and how much trouble the old devices gave you if it was a long awaited thing.
Since buying the 16 Pro, my average screen time went to 9-10 hours from 5-6 hours. You can guess how much I’m loving it.

Omg I read this comment wrong like 5 times before realizing what you said, lol. Glad you like yours, I really got sick of my 8 Plus in its final months as it kept getting slower and complaining about storage and the battery constantly dying. When the Wi-Fi chip died at an Italian restaurant, that was the final straw.

Is it English or the code 16p makes it difficult to understand?

Yeah, it’s a few grammatical errors making it harder to read. You would say ‘Since buying the 16 Pro, my screen time went from an average of 5-6 hours per day to roughly 9-10 hours per day… you can tell I really love it!’
Upgraded from 13 Pro which was my first ever iPhone. Love the brighter screen and better speakers. Camera is better. Faster processor. Battery life is solid. About the same as my 13 Pro was out of the box. I like the charge limit. I’m pretty vigilant with my charging habits. My 13 Pro battery health stayed at 100% for 13 months so I’m gonna see if I can beat that with this one. Overall though, had I gotten my battery replaced on 13P and waited until the 17, I wouldn’t be upset either. Loved my 13 Pro and the 16P is a marginal upgrade.
@Freeman
Have you set your battery limit to 80%?
I do 85% in the morning through the week and usually on Saturday I try to run it down to 20-25% and then use my 10w charger to charge it up to 100% Sunday morning. Usually, 85% is enough to get me through the day with around 30% left at bedtime but I’ve been spending more time on Reddit lately, which is a battery hog for sure. So sometimes on my days off from work, I need to give it a 10-20% charge in the evening. On average, I’d say I’m getting 7 hours SOT.

How does the battery limit thing work?

In the battery settings, you can set a charge limit to 80%, 85%, 90%, or 95%. The most strain on the battery is charging from 0-20% and 80-100%. Each charge to 100% will usually take 1 life cycle from the battery. However, if you only charge to 80-85% each time, it takes less than half a life cycle. Basically, the less you charge your battery above that 85% threshold, the more longevity you get out of it.
Also, try not to use the phone when it’s charging. Especially with power-hungry apps like games, maps, and video streaming. It puts a huge strain on the battery and generates a lot of heat. Heat is the #1 cause of battery degradation.
@Freeman
Nice one. So need it to always be between 20 and 80% then?!

That’s best practice. I usually do 85%, but anywhere between 30-90% is where I try to keep mine. When I do the 100% slow charge once a week, I try to get it down to 20-25%. Batteries are kind of like muscles. Need to work it out regularly and go hard every now and again
Obsessed! Came from a 13 Pro, bigger screen and battery + USB C is what sold me.
Coming from the iPhone 11, the screen is definitely my favorite and the bigger battery.
Updated to 16 Pro from 12 Pro Max. Marginal difference but no lie, I love the phone! Sleek, fast, and convenient.
First iPhone since the 8 - I’ve been using Android in between. I upgraded from an S23 and am loving it! Bit of a learning curve but so far so good
Love it too, got mine a few weeks ago.
I upgraded from the 12 Pro Max to the 16 Pro Max.
Went from the 12 Pro Max to 16 Pro Max. It’s nice being able to see my screen perfectly in direct sunlight and not have the screen dim and the phone start to heat up. Great device, should last me the rest of the decade at the very least (with a battery replacement in 3ish years or so).
I upgraded from 13 Pro. Didn’t find a HUGE difference honestly. The camera button is being used to fast launch the camera. That’s it. Since I transferred from another iPhone, I am using the same wallpaper, same lock screen, etc. So, don’t feel like I am using any different phone. Moreover, I love Spigen Air case. Used it on 13 Pro and now using it on 16 Pro. So, to me, it was just an upgrade on paper.
